“It’s always good to come home,” was how Michael Jordan began his dedication to the Boys and Girls Club last Friday. I’m sure the boys and girls there were glad he was home, too. Not only did they get to see MJ, but they have a new reading center thanks to Michael and the Bobcats, who are making children’s literacy a focus of their community service initiatives.
Jordan continued, “It’s good to see the city grow, and for all these kids that will benefit from this, hopefully there will be another Michael Jordan somewhere in terms of the their success, not Michael Jordan in terms of basketball
per se, but believeing in their dreams and aspiring to be the best person they can be.”
Cedric Dickerson welcomed and thanked Michael and the Bobcats on behalf of the Community Boys and Girls Club. I’m sure he spoke for us all in the Port City.
