UNC Wilmington men’s basketball player Kevin Swinton has been dismissed from the team, second-year head coach Benny Moss announced Monday.
Swinton was dismissed due to the circumstances surrounding his arrest early Monday morning for possession of a firearm on an educational property.
“Kevin is a good student who comes from a supportive family,” said Moss. “Unfortunately, he put himself into a situation that has resulted in him no longer being a part of our basketball team.”
