New Hanover 84 - West Brunswick 46
New Hanover won their fourth consecutive game since being beaten during the Brogden Tournament, 84-46 over West Brunswick Tuesday night. The Wildcats are now 16-2 and have yet to be beat in six conference games while West Brunswick has yet to win one. New Hanover will look to make it 7-0 in the league on Friday when they travel to White Oak (7-11, 2-4).
Laney 83 - White Oak 61
The Bucs used a 27 point offensive explosion during the second quarter to open up a 14 point halftime lead. The Bucs’ 22 point victory gives them a record of 10-6 and are now .500 in the conference at 3-3. Laney travels to Pender on Friday as they look to continue their two game winning streak.
Hoggard 63 - Jacksonville 51
Junior Zack Allen hit six of Hoggard’s 10 three point shots and scored 22 points to lead the Vikings to a 63-51 over Jacksonville on Tuesday night. The win puts Hoggard (12-6, 5-1) in sole possession of second place in the Mideastern Conference after the first half of the conference schedule. The JV team remained unbeaten with a 49-47 win over Jacksonville earlier in the evening. Sophomore Darren Wilson’s short jumper with one second remaining gave the Vikings the win.
Hoggard will host West Brunswick on Friday and look to make it two in a row after their loss last Friday at New Hanover.
