JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – UNC Wilmington open their 2008 season on Friday with a noon start against Richmond in the first game of the Jacksonville Invitational at Sessions Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
Drawing the start for the Seahawks against the Spiders is senior righthander Jeff Hatcher who compiled a 5-6 record and 3.70 earned run average last year in his first season as a starter.

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Inclement weather has forced the cancellation of Friday’s games at the 2008 Seahawk Classic, UNCW softball assistant coach Brittany Bennett announced Thursday afternoon.
