The 200 Medley Relay of sophomore Andrew Rogers, senior Matt Layne, sophomore Robert Anderson and senior Corey Sturmer posted a first-place time of 1:30.83 setting a new CAA Championship meet record. The Lady Seahawks gave UNCW a sweep of the opening event as senior Stacie Striplin, sophomore Charlee Eades, sophomore Caitlin Kirsteier and freshman Caroline Huber clocled in at 1:44.28, just missing setting its own CAA record. UNCW senior Annalisa Nieuwsma finished eighth with 226.95 points in the Women’s 3-Meter dive. In the final event of the first session, UNCW finished fifth in the women’s 800 Free Relay (7:36.68) while the men fashioned a time of 6:43.65 to finish second.
