WILMINGTON, N.C. - Junior righthander Brad Holt was named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Pitcher-of-the-Week on Monday after hurling UNC Wilmington’s first 1-hitter since 1992 in an 11-1 win at Northeastern last weekend.Holt shared the honor with Towson junior closer Josh Squatrito. This is the second time this season Holt has been named pitcher-of-the-week, last earning the honor back on Mar.4, following a 12-strikeout performance against Fordham.Against Northeastern, Holt allowed a solo homer in the second inning before settling down and holding the Huskies to just two base runners over the final five innings. No Huskie advanced past first base after the home run. With the impressive outing, Holt (5-1) lowered his earned run average to 2.70 on the season and has held opposing hitters to a .194 batting average.Earlier this season, Holt limited Fordham to two hits in an 6-inning outing and later followed that up with a  complete game 4-hitter against Towson on Mar. 8.The last 1-hitter by a Seahawk was in 1992 when Heath Altman shutout Virginia Commonwealth, 3-0, on Feb. 22.UNCW returns to action on Tuesday with a 6:30 p.m. start at NC State before returning home on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest against Campbell.  -Courtesy UNCW Sports Information
