COLUMBUS, OHIO – Freshman Josh Brock, who entered the final round in a tie for 15th overall, struggled in round three, finishing 8-over-par, and in a tie for 34th at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate on the Scarlet Course on the campus of Ohio State University.
The Seahawks (314-319-314=947) finished 13th overall, seven strokes behind Furman (311-318-311=940) for 12th place.
Colorado, who began the day a stroke behind Michigan State, carded a 294 over the final 18 to edge the Spartans by three strokes.
MSU’s Ryan Brehm (73-72-73=218) earned medalist honors, finishing the event 2-over-par.
Junior Will Shambley led the UNCW lineup on the final day with a 3-over-par score of 75, his best round of the tournament.
The Seahawks close out their season on Apr. 18-20, in Williamsburg, Va., with the Colonial Athletic Association Championships at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club.
