Chris Wilcox, a former Whiteville high school basketball star who currently plays for the Seattle Supersonics, was arrested Saturday in Bladen County on two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.

Carlos Gathers, who was driving Wilcox’s car at the time, was arrested on drinking and driving, and gun charges as well.  Both men were taken to Bladen County jail, where they were released on a $500 secured bond.

Wilcox is back in town hosting a youth basketball camp at Whiteville High School in a couple of weeks, but it appears he will also be dealing with his legal troubles this summer.
