   Midnight basketball is one of many new programs offered by the City’s Community Centers.   The primary  focus  of the program is getting youth off the streets through organized basketball and  educational  sessions.  The program will  enable  participants  to learn life-enhancing skills and values,  in return developing discipline, and direction.  The program will be held at Martin Luther King Center on Friday nights during June 6–July 11 from 9 pm - 1 am.

Twice A Week, Tuesday And Thursday From 10am To 12pm At The Olde Point Tennis Courts In Hampstead.

This is a  unique camp where kids can have a blast while learning the basic mechanics of each stoke, proper court position and movement, and sound strategies for future growth and development. Space will be limited so sign up now.

The Cost Of This Camp Will Be $60 A Week Or $40 Per Day.

Skateboard Clinics For Beginners 

  Dates:   JUNE:        14 & 28 10:30 am - 12 noon 

                  JULY:         12 & 26 10:30 am - 12 noon 

                 AUGUST:   9 & 23 10:30 am - 12 noon 

 

Greenfield Grind Skatepark is offering beginner clinics for youth ages 7-12.  Class will be split into small groups to facilitate personalized instruction.  Each clinic will be taught by Skatepark staff. The cost is $15 per participant and includes 1 1/2 hour instruction and training, a free pass to skate for the day, and two free day passes. 

The Greenfield Grind Skatepark is located at Greenfield Lake Park behind the main Parks and Recreation office (302 Willard Street)   To register, call 362-8222.

 

SENIOR MEN BASKETBALL PLAYERS NEEDED 
(ages 55+) 

Men basketball players ages 55 or older needed for 4 on 4   1/2 court basketball at the MLK Center (401 S. 8th Street, WIlmington) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am -12 noon.
