The FedEx Cup doesn’t really make too much sense, but here is what I know…

1. Camilo Villegas, better known on tour as Spider-Man, held on for a two shot victory at the 3rd playoff stop, the BMW Championship. This was Camilo’s first win on the PGA Tour.

2. Vijay Singh only has to show up for the last playoff event, The Tour Championship,  and play all four rounds in order to take home the FedEx Cup and the $10,000,000 check. Let’s hope they tweak the playoff rules again this offseason to make the final event actually worth watching.

3. With the 3rd playoff event over one would think it would be safe to assume that the 4th and final event would start this Thursday. Guess what, never assume. Because of the Ryder Cup being played Sept. 18-21, the tour felt the need to put in a bye week this week. Well maybe this will give the commissioner enough time to figure out how he can change the rules of the FedEx Cup and make it halfway interesting for the final event.  -Chris Miranda
