Once again this year, college scholarships are being offered by the Wrightsville Beach Longboard Association for two active, local student-surfers (one female, one male) seeking to further their education. 

Each one thousand dollar ($1,000.00) scholarship awarded to the selected applicants will be for the coming academic year (2009-2010) and will be announced after May 1, 2009.  Applications are available from school guidance centers, financial aid offices and area surf shops.  Instructions and guidelines for properly completing the application are included with all materials.  Participating individuals are encouraged to submit applications before the deadline of April 16, 2009, and all scholarship information should be mailed to:
