Stilman White scored 19 points to lead Hoggard to a 65-57 win over Jacksonville on Thursday night in Wilmington.  The Vikings (14-5, 5-2) hit 10 three-pointers and got solid contributions from the bench in winning their second straight game.  Jacksonville (16-3, 6-2) is ranked sixth in this week’s NCPreps.com 3A media poll.Hoggard hit eight first half three-pointers, including three each by Logan Cain and Lawson Ahrens.  Cain, the Vikings’ leading scorer, was plagued with foul trouble all night and fouled out with 10 minutes remaining in the game.  Junior Grant Nabell filled in well in Cain’s absence, scoring a career-high 10 points and grabbing a career high eight rebounds.

Zack Allen added 10 points and five assists for Hoggard, which will be back in action tomorrow night against White Oak.  The 7:30 p.m. tipoff is a part of the NABC Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers weekend.  Fans are encouraged to wear their sneakers to the game and bring a donation that will be sent to the American Cancer Society to be used for cancer research.

The JV team also won on Thursday, defeating Jacksonville 46-41.  Darius Plummer scored 12 points to lead the Vikings (12-5, 5-2).  The JV’s will host White Oak at 4:30 on Friday.
