The Wilmington Sea Dawgs are pleased to announce that they will be joining the newly formed Continental Basketball League (CBL) for their 2010 season.

The league’s regional approach and spring/summer season were two key factors contributing to the decision.

The Sea Dawgs owners have given notice to the Premier Basketball League (PBL) that it will not be participating in their upcoming 2010 season.

Sea Dawgs co-owner Pete Gratale said they enjoyed their two years in the PBL, however, at the end of the day, they have to do what is in the long-term best interest of the organization.

CBL Commissioner executive Dennis Truax said they are pleased to have the Sea Dawgs as a charter member the CBL.
