Former UNCW Assistant Joins Charlotte Bobcats’ Staff Under Larry Brown

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Former UNC Wilmington assistant men’s basketball coach Dave Hanners, who strolled the sidelines in the early 80’s as an assistant with the Seahawks, will return to the Port City this fall as a member of the Charlotte Bobcats’ newly-revamped staff.

The Charlotte Bobcats went to Boston Wednesday night with an Eastern Conference worst 1-11 record on the road. The Celtics came into the game posting the best record in the NBA and at 29-3, were off to one of the best starts in NBA history.

Bobcats Suffer Another Costly Knee Injury

Charlotte Bobcats forward Adam Morrison suffered a left knee sprain with 5:23 left in the third quarter of Saturday night’s preseason contest against the Los Angeles Lakers. X-rays taken immediately following the game came back negative.
