Andy Olson pumped home five goals Wednesday as Laney beat New Hanover 12-3 as the local boys’ lacrosse teams continue to make a strong showing; Hoggard beat Ashley 13-6 on Tuesday as the four Wilmington public high schools are all amoung the top 31 teams in the state, including independent schools.

Hoggard was edged 7-6 Tuesday night in a match-up of two top ten teams, but none-the-less, it is obvious there is a bevy of local lacrosse talent as all four Wilmington schools are in the state’s top 35 teams, according to the laxpower.com computer rankings.
