All right, life has been kicking my butt this week… so here is an abbreviated version of the Week 4 NFL season picks.

Jim Clark’s Cape Fear Sports Report NFL Week One Predictions

September 8th, 2009 · No Comments

- Jim Clark
While the action on the field during the pre-season was relatively lackluster, the drama off the field makes the NFL a better soap opera than half the stuff written for network TV. Would anyone believe a quarterback un-retires for the third time, for a third different team? Or a guy gets out [...]

Buckle Up Sports Fans, Things Are About To Get Serious In September

September 1st, 2009 · No Comments

- Jim Clark
Can we for once come to the agreement that while it is great football is back, we can’t wait for the pre-season to be over?  Oh there was some bad football played and, if you are like me and have the NFL Network, I saw a lot of it.
The third game of the [...]

NFL Missing Out On Broadcasting Most Interesting Pre-season Match Ups

August 28th, 2009 · No Comments

- Jim Clark
Anyone else find it funny that the two biggest pre-season NFL games so far were seen live by only a couple of NFL markets? Brett Favre’s debut with the Minnesota Vikings and Michael Vick’s with the Philadelphia Eagles were not shown nationally because the networks had all ready committed to showing other [...]

The NFL pre-season is done with Week One and I can’t think of any previous one that had so much drama off the field. Brett Favre finally signed with the Minnesota Vikings, Michael Vick is now a Philadelphia Eagle and the Carolina Panthers came up with one of the most interesting [...]

Just Short Of A Soap Opera, Well Not Really

July 16th, 2009 · No Comments

If you like drama, the Wilmington Hammerheads season has had its share.  From the highs of getting to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup to the lows of losing forward Chris Bagley for the year to an injury, this season has had a little of everything.  And it is only going to [...]

July 11th, 2009 · No Comments

The calendar said “July 10th” but it was “Father’s Day” for Jamie Watson. The Hammerheads forward recorded a goal and three assists as Wilmington got back to its winning ways with a 4-0 victory over the Western Mass. Pioneers.
