Carolina Men’s Baseball League Update - 7/13

The Carolina Men’s Baseball League featured 2 very nicely played games on Sunday, July 13th.  In the early game at Myrtle Grove Middle School the Old Salts defeated the Sea Hawks 7 to 1 behind the pitching debut of former UNC basketball star Jim Moore, and solid relief pitching by Steve Goodman.

Red Sox 4 Mudcats 1. In a tightly contested game, the Red Sox prevailed over the ‘Cats. The Red Sox broke out in front with two runs in the first inning which the Mudcats quickly answered with one of their own.

Hammerheads Comeback To Tie Baltimore

The Wilmington Hammerheads (1-5-3) hosted Crystal Palace Baltimore on Tuesday at Legion Stadium.  After falling behind early, the Hammers battled back to tie 2-2 and earn a point in the USL-2 Standings.
